New IRF Board + Staggered Terms
New board members have been confirmed by a vote of the national governing bodies. Four of these board members were nominated by their continental region with one board member nominated by the current board. They were all confirmed by the voting members of the IRF. Their terms will officially begin January 1, 2025.
The IRF members also approved a bylaw update to enact staggered terms. The idea behind this change is to make sure that there is a smooth transition of leadership/knowledge and the entire board does not leave in one cycle. To get the staggered terms started, Jack Scotti and Maximilian Lauber will serve a one year term. Moving forward, all board members will serve two year terms (some being elected in even years and some being elected in odd years). At the end of 2025, 2 people will be elected for a two-year term as a North American representative and the IRF Board Pick. Then in 2026, a two-year term for the European, Asian, and South American representatives will be elected.
The IRF Board (starting January 2025)
Sarah Brenker (Europe) - 2 year term
Jose Duque (South America) - 2 year term
Murray Noble (Asia/Australia) - 2 year term
Jack Scotti (North America) - 1 year term
Maximilian Lauber (IRF Board Pick) - 1 year term
